This is the best day of my 28 year life. Billy Packer is hanging it up.
They make it sound like he is leaving on his terms. I can’t help but think that his absolute idiotic “This game is over” statement with 7 minutes left in the first half of a final four game has a lot to do with him leaving.
All told, I am exceptionally glad he is gone. Now maybe we won’t have an announcer who constantly tries to make his pregame “keys to the game” come true, and ignores what’s actually happening on the court.
“Coach is going to have to call a time out” 15 times in 3 minutes is not announcing. It’s wishing you were coaching.
This could be the best year of Carolina basketball ever.
