Shout-Out Friday: A Little Ginger Goes a Long Way.

I’m excited to let you in on the very first shout-out submission here at ATB. (it was submitted via the submissions page)

Ginger Ruth Henry works for Mercy Ships. Here’s an excerpt from their “about us” page:

Mercy Ships is a global charity that has operated hospital ships in developing nations since 1978. Mercy Ships brings hope and healing to the forgotten poor by mobilizing people and resources worldwide, and serving all people without regard for race, gender, or religion.

What a fascinating ministry, especially for those folks with a background or training in the medical field!

I just perused Ginger’s blog (from which I stole the exorbitantly fun title for this post), and was blown away by the stories there. Here it in the words of a patient:

Germaine finished her testimony, “ I Thank God for the surgery … and the doctors for their work which was successful. When I go home, my friends will see the difference. I know God will bless the Mercy Ships so they can continue their work. God will give them strength.” (source)

What better way to share the love of Jesus than to bring health and healing?

I’d encourage you to join ATB in financially supporting Ginger by clicking here.
